On Saturday 21 May, the first Centro Valle Water House was inaugurated in the Post Office car park in Cortenova.

Numerous citizens and mayors from the Upper Valley flocked to the event, chaired by the Mayor Valerio Benedetti and from the Chairman of Lario Reti Holding Lelio Cavallier who thus welcomed the newcomer "The water houses installed are intended to put water back at the centre of citizens' lives, not only as a simple service, but above all as a common feeling and sharing of such an important commodity. The water supplied will be from the municipal aqueduct, certified at source. The installation of water houses will allow, among other things, the elimination of pet bottles, leading to a significant reduction in waste production"..

The service is available at a cost of 5 cents per litre and a half, a symbolic price, to make people better understand the value of mains water, which is good, safe and regularly checked.
