No secrets, the Water Houses at the end of the World Expo will enjoy 'new life' municipalities in the Milanese hinterland and in the city of Milan.

"We chose the formula of an ideas competition - pointed out Alessandro Russo, President of the CAP Group - because we received many requests from the municipalities. It seemed to us the best way to bring the beauty of our territory into Expo.".

Currently, in addition to the city of Milan, the municipalities that have been awarded these innovative Casette are: Bollate, Canegrate, Cassina de' Pecchi, Cernusco sul Naviglio, Cinisello Balsamo, Garbagnate Milanese, Gorgonzola, Gudo Visconti, Lainate, Magenta, Marcallo con Casone, Noviglio, Pieve Emanuele, Robecchetto con Induno, Rodano, Senago, Sesto San Giovanni and Solaro.

In fact, in each house we have recreated a rendering showing the chosen location with the logo and name of the municipality. They are innovative systems compared to the models already widespread in the Milan area. First of all, they are smaller and more efficient, capable of quenching more people's thirst at the same time. In addition, they also allow refilling without a container, as in traditional drinking fountains.

The installation of these systems also generates significant environmental savings: each house can supply up to 7,000 litres of water per dayequivalent to the contents of 4,600 one-and-a-half litre plastic bottles per day.

In terms of impact on the environment, the use of these plants means that 372 kg of oil per day is not consumed and various pollutants, some 427 kg of carbon dioxide, consumed in the production of PET, the material from which water bottles are made, are not emitted into the atmosphere.

Fince now, the active systems on the exhibition site have crossed the milestone of the first million litres of water delivered, demonstrating their potential. The trend is set to grow in the coming months.
