After dispensing more than 9 million litres of fresh natural and sparkling water, quenching the thirst of visitors from all over the world, the Expo 2015 Water Houses find new lifealways at the service of citizenship and for the promotion of zero-kilometre, good, safe, controlled water.
These innovative facilities are a valuable asset for local communities, contributing significantly to the reduction of single-use plastic consumption and the reduction of CO2 emissions related to the transport of bottled water. Each water house is equipped with state-of-the-art filtration and quality control technology, ensuring that citizens receive excellent quality water directly from the public tap.
On Sunday 20 March, a crowd of onlookers, also thanks to the beautiful spring day, welcomed the new arrival in Via XXV Aprile in Cassina de' Pecchi. The inauguration was enthusiastically attended by families, children and the elderly, all eager to discover this new free service that combines environmental sustainability and economic savings.
The next relocations of the Expo 2015 model Water Houses are in the municipalities of Bollate, Canegrate, Cernusco sul Naviglio, Cinisello Balsamo, Garbagnate Milanese, Gorgonzola, Gudo Visconti, Lainate, Magenta, Marcallo con Casone, Noviglio, Pieve Emanuele, Robecchetto con Induno, Rodano, Senago, Sesto San Giovanni and Solaro.
