Solaro and Gudo Visconti: the second life of the Expo2015 Water Houses

The relocation of the Expo 2015 Water Houses does not stop, indeed...On Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 June we did a double.

Saturday 4 June the Expo2015 House of Solaroinstalled in Piazza Grandi, after a short post-Expo break, resumed its normal activity in the presence of Mayor Diego Manenti and Cap Holding President Alessandro Russo.

"The Municipality of Solaro said the mayor, Diego Manenti " won the Water House that had been installed for six months in the Piazzetta Brasile at Expo, thanks to a proposal concerning Piazza Grandi, a landmark for the entire Villaggio Brollo community. The neighbourhood, which arose after the war on the border between the municipalities of Solaro, Limbiate and Ceriano Laghetto, is located on the edge of the Parco delle Groane: 3800 hectares of regional protected area to the north of the large Milanese metropolis'.

Sunday 5 June was the opening of the Gudo Visconti House Expo 2015 at the AVIS Park in Via Verdi. The ribbon-cutting ceremony and toast in the presence of the Mayor Omar Cirulli and the Chairman of Cap Holding Aòssandro Russoas well as the many citizens who flocked to the event.

"When we installed the Water Houses at Expo, we immediately emphasised that they would have a future after the universal exhibition: by the end of the year all 18 of our houses will be back in operation in the area, under the banner of the circular economy, a front in which the company is investing time and resources with the CAP21 programme, sustainability commitments". commented on the President of CAP Alessandro Russo.
