The Art Nouveau Water House arrives in Verderio

Accompanied by the notes of the Italian anthem and copious applause, Saturday 9 April, Mayor Origo cut the ribbon and the Verderio Water House in Via degli Alpini began dispensing natural and sparkling water, good and controlled.

"There are no plausible reasons for continuing to prefer bottled water to tap water, yet Italy is still among the biggest consumers in Europe - explained Mayor Origo - The Municipality of Verderio intends to promote ecologically sustainable behaviour and raise awareness of water as a resource and as a good of all.

"The one provided here- continued the Mayor - In addition to the very important environmental benefit and savings for citizens, the reduction of plastic allows the public administration to make further savings in waste disposal'.

The realisation of the plant was made possible thanks to the collaboration between Lario Reti Holding, the Municipal Administration and Italcementi who have chosen our company to offer a food-safe, quality product to citizens.

All users will be able to draw still and sparkling water at a cost of 0.05 cents a litre and a half, a considerable saving!
